I have no political connections, no lobby, and no interest group to demand redress.

The whole problem began with gun runners entrapping Canadian Defence Contractors with hookers to coerce them to bring military equipment across the border. At first, only CSIS and highly placed politicians knew of the conspiracy. Believing it was simply prostitutes and politicians, my angry letters succeeded only in drawing other departments and agencies into the plot. By the time I learned the truth so many senior officials and politicians were involved that there is great pressure to keep the intrigue covert.
